The Countdown of 2020 Begins!

Happy belated Thanksgiving, all!

I can’t believe it’s December! The countdown of 2020 begins! (I’m so ready for this year to be over as it’s been quite exhausting.) On another note, here’s something fun if you like advent calendars!

Besides trying to wrap up work projects and celebrating holidays, I like to take this time to reflect on the year and start thinking about next year. During Thanksgiving, I give thanks for all of the good in my life. This year, in particular, I’m grateful for so much because it could be BAD with COVID. Here are just a few things on my list: my mother’s cancer is in remission, my new baby niece, good health, loving relationships and my Porsche! What are you thankful and grateful for?

I also like this time of year as people tend to remember to give to those who are less fortunate. Our club enjoys donating to the Toys for Tots program every year and the tour is always fun. This year, the Toys for Tots Drive will be on December 12th, starting in San Jose, so RSVP NOW (details in Events and on our calendar).

As I may have mentioned to some of you at a Thirsty Thursday, I’ve been decluttering and only keeping things I need or that bring me joy. I’ve continued this all year and am now starting my second month of the 30 day Minimalism game where I discard one thing on the first day, two things on the second day and so on. It’s a challenge and motivates me to get rid of the extra stuff I don’t use! By the end of the month, I should have gotten rid of almost 500 things! I feel a lot lighter after last month and want to continue this through next year to work towards the goal of simplifying my life and focusing on what truly matters. If you have any questions or want to join me in this challenge, please email me at [email protected].

OH I ALMOST FORGOT! If you, or someone you know, would like to be the next Co-Editor of the POST, please step up and let us know! I’m moving to the East Bay and will no longer be in the area and will eventually transfer regions. Our new format is very easy to use and doesn’t require a lot of desktop publishing knowledge.

Happy Holidays to you and I hope you are all healthy and well. Please take care and see you next year!
