New bylaws: No new update from PCA National, recommend to move ahead with BOD and membership approval of new bylaws.
Nominations committee: Have confirmed candidates for President, Treasurer and AX director. Pursuing additional potential candidates. The ad in the Post and mid-month email Blast have not produced any candidates.
AX #3 ended up with 54 drivers, and we made a profit, but almost half registered in the last 24 hours. Stress me out!
Our AX #4 and Zone 7 event is coming up Saturday, and we are currently at 61 drivers registered.
Our Zone 7 dinner on June 14th will be at a local Mountain Mike’s. We are getting $750 from PCA for a 3 event multi region gathering. The winner of the trivia quiz will get a free AX. I’m expecting 40-50 drivers at this point. We would like to get board approval for an additional $250 just in case we go over a little bit.

Absent – Report submitted.
Waiting for word from Mariah (Porsche Service Center, Stevens Creek) on final. plans for the Porsche Heritage Day. These plans will include when our Charities can set up, if Porsche of Stevens Creek will supply the ‘pop ups’ so they will all be uniform. Honore has been present at all the meetings and continues to give me feedback. We plan on touching base with the Charities this week.
Absent – Report submitted.
Folks….
School is out so I am back to attending these meetings — please, don’t everyone groan all at once! Hehehe.
First, a review of the May/June Issue’s readership. It was a bit lower than in previous issues, which is disappointing in that the issue had a lot going for it. If you believe the data feedback, folks did read my editorial, looked at the calendar and the road test part of the Macan test drive, but not a lot of time on the Campbell Easter parade or the Porsche Sprints and BRracing interview. Actually, time spent seemed to go down as the pages went on. Not a good sign. It is what it is.
We (Doris and I) are starting to work on the July/Aug issue. The meat of the content will flow from the BIG Porsche Heritage event, — still hoping to do an interview with Stevens Creek Porsche Manager about the Heritage event — which they are heavily invested in. I need someone to pull together a story about the Forest Bathing Tour. Hugh offered to do something, but it would be great if another participant could write the story and let Calvin run the event.
We will have two spots about individuals for Member Corner. One for Noel Eberherdt, a friend of Dana’s who came to a Thirsty Thursday, interesting guy. The second, a little background for a new member, Stephen Pitzer of Santa Cruz and his 2001 996 and almost a 356.
I’ll promote the Annual Picnic and the New Member par, upcoming WERKS and start talking about Calvin’s planned overnight trip to Tahoe (Sept 27-28… it’s on my calendar already!). Of course, there will be short updates to Porsche’s racing adventures in the last couple months.
I spent a lot of time structuring the product within InDesign to make creation, pagination and edits easier. And based on my classwork on Graphic Design, I’ll be adding a bit more color on the non-photographic pages. Stay tuned for some changes.
Will we get the issue out by July 1st — probably not. My realistic target will be July 7 or 5th. I’ll be on the golf courses helping conduct tournaments (Stanford, Granite Bay and Pasatiempo) for 5 full days in June… which will slow me down a bit.
Thanks for all the help everyone does pitch in to help make the POST as good as it is. Speaking of which, we should get a read on last year’s entry to the PCA Annual Newsletter Competition to see if the independent judges report on progress or lack of from Oklahoma’s Parade mid-July, but after we publish July/August.
Needs to acquire another photo. Porsche Heritage Day should provide an opportunity for a photo or more.
Ed Tefrankjian submitted the safety report for the May AX#3.
No Tours were conducted during March.
Dana D. signed the lodging contract for The Overnight Tour to Lake Tahoe!
No Tours were conducted during May.
The Forest Bathing Tour will be next weekend (Father’s Day). It’s a popular Tour, and more people wanted to go than destination parking allowed, so we have a waiting list.
There are no more Tours for rest of the Summer. Nancy & I would love to help with the organizing activities if someone is interested in hosting a Tour. I’ll develop a “Call for Tours” note for the Mid-Month Blast and/or Blast Update that might move some of our members to action.
MBR Oktoberfest Tour (13-Sep), Jacob’s Heart Tour (20-Sep), Overnight Lake Tahoe Tour (27-28-Sep), Toys 4 Tots (23-Nov), Ole Amigos Tour (TBD).
Discussion: Dana signed the contract. Just waiting for confirmation.
Here is the Social Media Chair report for the June 2025 Board Meeting:
I took the time to review the treasurer’s report today.
It looks like LPR is doing OK this year. We’re only down slightly so far and we have a number of sponsors still going to pay. Plus, a couple new sponsors. Bottom line is I see no issue with the requested funding for PHDay. It may sound expensive but I think we’ll see the benefits soon.
Nothing else to report tech wise but we should have some things in the near future.
During the month of May, the webmaster did the following:
Comment: Peter said that the website looks great.
Comment: Jim said that they got rid of a few name badges.
None
