John Reed managed to damage the wheel of his new Porsche by doing what is commonly accepted as being a big no-no; driving through a pile of leaves at the road’s edge. He felt so foolish that he called the Godfather of Loma Prieta Region, Ken Iles, and requested that he, in accordance with the founding spirit of LPR, be honored for his foolishness. Ken Iles obliged and presented this award.
