Region Leadership App

Request other Board Members please test this app.

PCA wants us to test it to a) look up members and b) sign up new members.

All Board Members should be able to use it.

On Apple App Store or Google Play search for PCA Region Leader Tools.

Sign in using your PCA name and password.

With good results, I will ask to add more people to the app.  Please check!

PCA Public Service Awards

I received new info about this and how to apply last week.

Checked in with Kris at Awards Banquet, she said she is ready to help!

The way it works is there is a submitter, and then everyone else is listed.

It is a new process, and I can use the new info and be the submitter.

We should be extremely close to an award if we do not receive.

Over the long haul, we should be recognized, LPR is amazing and recognition adds inspiration.

Discussion:  Dana D. feels that the participation in the VA event and the Heritage Day event would be good examples of public service.   We already have incredible charities that we support.

Vice President – Honore D’Angelo

12/06/2025 – Porsche Brunch – Alices in Woodside

12/06/2025 – Awards Banquet – Cupertino Senior Center – 21251 Stevens Creek Blvd, Cupertino – Fun filled event

12/14/2025 – 4:00 p.m. – LPR Planning Meeting for 2026 – I will send out 2026 list of events

Secretary – Sheila Dunwoodie

Thank you for your reports in advance of the meeting!  These meeting minutes will be my last!   I will pass on final instructions and an updated minutes template to Mari.

Treasurer – Andy Ward

Attached are the monthly Treasurer’s Reports, detailing LPR financial activity through November 30, 2025. It was a fairly typical month with respect to income and expenditures, with the exception of our annual Awards Banquet, which is probably our single largest annual expense. There will be some receipts and expenses that will be reflected in next month’s reports as well. Special thanks to everyone involved — Honore, Dana, and many others I’m sure — who helped make the event such as success.

There was no activity in the Zone 7 account during November, so I have not attached a statement for that account.

Just want everyone to know how much I’ve enjoyed serving as Treasurer these past few years. It’s hard to believe this is the end of my 4th year! I’ll be working with Dana to ensure a smooth transition.

As always, if there are any questions, please let me know.

Our AX Season is over, some awards have been handed out, and 5 free AX days for 2026 have been won by 5 lucky awards banquet attendees.

I’m expecting to sign contracts with Salinas Airport this week, hopefully Stanislaus County will follow soon for our Crows Landing dates. Once contracts are signed, we can submit for COI with Charlotte. I’m pretty confident with our dates so I think it’s time to publicize.

Charity  – Kathy Musser, Kris Vanacore, Emilie Highley

Over 4 GIANT bags of pajamas and gently used warm coats were collected at the Pajamas for a Purpose Awards Event.  Kathy Musser will deliver the donations to Jacobs Heart.    Thank you LPR for giving!

Discussion:   Don has some pictures of the table and bags that he will send to Dana D.

Hospitality – Emilie Highley

Let’s all remain in good health this Holiday Season!

Prieta Post Editor – Don Chaisson

Our publishing software reported that the last issue had 244 individual readers which is about two thirds (2/3) of our primary members.  This is not bad, all things considered.

The next issue, the first for 2026 will feature articles about the Annual Awards Banquet, the 2025 Autocross Season, the 4th Annual Ole’ Amigo Tour and a DIY article by Ian McNeal on installing a light weight flywheel (LWFW) … and the usual columns including Honore’s first President’s Message

Doris and I are already working on the articles but we will be going “black” on Christmas week.  But we might be able to finish the issue up by Jan 1, so stay tuned.

Discussion:  Don will use the headshot of Brad Boardman from PAX to use in the Prieta Post, and the playful, child picture will be used on the website.

Public Relations – Dana Drysdale

Dana sent in a group picture of LPR WERKS’ volunteers months ago, but they were never posted.   Dana will send a photo of the Lake Tahoe tour for the February edition of Panorama.

Safety – Open Position

No Autocross events in December, so no Safety Reports for Autocross.

Discussion:  Honore to talk to a member that is interested in the Safety position.

Tour – Hugh Calvin

The Toys 4 Tots Tour was conducted on 23-Nov.

We’re expecting a few Tours will be scheduled during the planning meeting in December, and more, as we get into the new year.

There are no remaining Tours on the Calendar for 2025.

Webmaster – Jim Turk

  1. I am asking for board approval of $3600 for updating the website. See item 2. NOTE: I may be back asking for more money as this project moves forward.
  2. Contacted a web designer for updating the LPR website. Proceeding forward with this project. The web designer has created a copy of our website on their server so that they can assess the situation, and is working on identifying how much work (and cost) it will be to update our look and feel to a newer version of supported software. The $3600 figure I noted in item 1 will get us going with a supported WordPress theme and a current version of the underlying software.
  3. Contacted a second web designer for updating the LPR website. Trying to get a feel for a “ball park” guesstimate about how much it would cost. This estimate was up to $15k. Yikes.
  4. Looked into divorcing email from hosting site. Google Workspace may be an option. More research required. But separating the email provide from the hosting site is recommended as a “best practice”.
  5. Looked into moving the current website to PCA. We are too far out of date on THE key software. Can’t use them.
  6. Suffice it to say that whatever we do with the website it is going to cost more on an annual basis. Everything costs more, and, frankly, we haven’t been keeping up with maintenance.
  7. Usual WordPress stuff, updating plugins and adding/removing content to/from the website.

Proposal:  Dana D. makes a motion to approve an initial amount $3,600 for updating the website.  Second: Honore Ayes: 6   Noes:  None  Motion passes

Old Business:  Awards

Proposal:  Per email dates 11/14/25, Kris Vanacore made a motion for payment to Crown not to exceed $1,300 for Awards.  Second: Homer   Ayes:  5   Noes:  None   Motion passes

New Business: None

Adjourn Meeting:  Meeting adjourned by President Dana at 7:40 PM
