Region Leadership App
Any Board Member is supposed to be able to use the Region Leadership app.
You can see any member in LPR, and if that does not find the person, it will look nationally.
We can also sign up new members. This generates an email from PCA to the new member.
We do not take the credit card, etc., that comes from PCA.
I also explain how to change your region if you want to.
The email from PCA comes with it locked to your zip code, even though it is a drop down.
VA Car Show and Volunteering with the VA
VA would like us to do this on a Saturday in March.
A huge problem is that most vets do not sign up for benefits! Our event will help with this.
My suggestion is to see what dates we have open after AX, and make this a priority.
Also, they gave me valuable insight into VA in East Bay and volunteering.
I believe I will have their volunteer coordinator’s name next week.
Board – Are we OK with publicizing volunteer coordinator and letting LPR members contact on their own?
Or, is this too much volunteering? What’s the sense?
Discussion: The VA event will be a bigger event to encourage veterans to sign up for benefits. They will have a DJ and our car display. Their volunteer coordinator is looking for volunteers for the VA. Contact information will be in the Blast and in the Prieta Post if any members are interested.
Following is our list of events for the rest of 2025.

Joanna Herz recently had surgery – she is home and doing well. Phone calls and “cheery” cards are welcome.
As is typical there was an initial surge in readers checking out the issue and as of his morning, there were 132 individual readers spending about 11 1/2 hours on the pages of the issue. These numbers are not unusual and should increase with Dana’s customary POST reminder in her next blast in a couple days.
The time spent on sections of the POST (below) show spikes in times spent on the elements, e.g Editorial, Dana’s DWF, even time on the back story to the cover page, and of course, the featured articles. So most folks didn’t just scan the issue, but spent time reading content. All GOOD!
The issue incorporated a couple new elements spurred by PCA Newsletter judging comments and “magazine” typical practice of 3 column pages, reflecting incremental improvements. ALSO notable, this issue featured articles from different authors — I’d love to see this continue!
Next year, I plan to spend more time looking at the POST’s look: moving from a tight magazine look (e.g. The Economist) to more exciting spreads (Excellence or ??) with a bit more white-space and grabber hero photos. This may well be a challenge to do given my career of manufacturing audits and failure analyses than pop art. We’ll see.
See Appendix B for page view statistics.
