September Board Minutes: President Dana asked the Board to approve the September Board minutes.

Used this to sign up 10 new members for PCA at Porsches and Pastries.
Contacted both Brian Adkins and PCA about more LPR Region Leaders using this app.
Update to you as soon as we hear.
Porsches and Pastries with PSC was great! We had not had a canopy, etc. at
a PSC event in recent history. We will have 2 big events (Heritage Day, Porsches
and Pastries) and our Concours with them before end of year.
This is a lot of support from PSC. Customer experience there is very good for me,
especially service, I take a lot of cars there helping people with family situations.
MBR had a lot of activities last month, so, they only have 25 attendees.
So, they have adjusted the event to be a lunch 1 – 3 PM at Lugano’s Swiss Restaurant in Carmel.
If anyone would like to attend, please let me know, they have 4 – 6 spots available.
We will be back with our turn at Oktoberfest next year and will discuss at Planning Meeting.
Thanks to Honore, Dave, Peter for helping put this back together.
This will be low key, like Porsche Fremont, not like Heritage Day.
PA, canopy, etc. will be borrowed from Rotary to keep costs down.
Discussion: Our goal is to make our concours fully-sponsored in the future.
Not possible at this time. VA client services are not interrupted.
Email, etc. used to publicize this event may be interrupted.
So, we are taking a go around.
The intention is to try to reschedule before end of year, VA would like that.

Insurance

* Updated calendar with various changes
I won’t be able to make the meeting on 10-14 as I will be traveling in China.
Nothing to report.
Our Kill-a-Kone event was Oct 11th and was well attended with 68 drivers on a fun fast course that was a bit longer than usual. Everything went smoothly to get everyone 9 runs on a pleasant 70 degrees day, a nice change from the 100 degrees temps that are common out there.
Our last event of the year will be on Nov 9th at Crows Landing.
Report from Kathy:
On Thursday I delivered the donations to Jacob’s Heart. While I was at Jacob’s Heart, I was able to obtain the total for the online donations. The generosity of the members of the Loma Prieta Region was totally amazing! As of Thursday the 9th of October, the total amount donated to Jacob’s Heart is just a bit over $15,000.00. Thank you so very much for your support of this wonderful charity.
To be advised.

We are in the middle of preparing the Nov/Dec issue. Working on interesting articles with contributions from William Bauer, Doris, and Iain McNeil. Will try a wrinkle in the layout approach, it’s a standard approach for magazines, but we’ll see if folks warm up to the change.
The Sep Oct issue went out a bit late so here are the statistics from that issue:
There were @ 200 views with 193 individual readers.
Total reading time was about 17+ hours.
The most popular page(s) were the bios of the board candidates.
Next was the article on the Picnic — and the interviews with a new member and a long-time member — that article was content dense (vs the LPR hits the Trail article which had a lot of photos) — you can get 85% of the article without doing a lot of reading.
Dana’s Driving with Friends got a lot of screen time.
A lot of readers didn’t spend a lot of time on the WERKS article — but I bet the ones who bothered to read it were rewarded with some great interviews with Michael Allen Ross and interest stories with Gunter and his staff.
It is what it is.
Sent volunteer photo from WERKS to Panorama.
Ed Tefankjian has submitted Safety reports for September and October autocross events.
The “To the Moon June” Tour was conducted in early October.
The “Jacob’s Heart” Tour was conducted in early September.
The “Fall in Love with Tahoe Overnight” Tour was conducted in late September.
Remaining Tours on the Calendar for 2025:
Ole Amigos Tour (8-Nov)
Toys 4 Tots (23-Nov).
Here is the Social Media Chair report for the October 2025 Board Meeting:
A spike up from beginning of September to October for total number of addresses and total number sent on the Emailers of approx. 100. Not sure how accurate those totals are.
Dana A. will send out a reminder blast 5 days prior to the end of the voting period.
To be advised.
Discussion: Peter has expressed to Dana D. that next year, he wants to have a committee.
Website revamp. I will send a separate email about potentially upgrading and redoing our website. Please look for it in the next few days and read it at your leisure.
