Porsche Stevens Creek = indoors Porsche Monterey Monday night Car Week party.
Very elevated. We did not know much about indoors, great to see.
Outside event was a home run. Steve Douglas told me, “this is what it’s all about”.
People got to know each other, the new / heritage communities got together.
Charities had good engagement at times.
Chef Mo served 520 meals.
We have an estimate of 600 – 700 people coming through Heritage Day.
83 Heritage Cars, and about 180 Customer Cars parked on site.
Cars were parked in vacant lots, all over neighborhood, at stores, etc.
I heard from a 356 owner, not for repeating, “this is better than Werks”. Shorter drive.
Many positive emails received from Heritage Car drivers, other members, PSC, and at Parade.
What LPR Board and Chairs think of Heritage Day is very important – please let me know!
Massive thanks to everyone for volunteering and taking Heritage Day up a level.
Thank you to LPR for pitching in on food, trophies, and other expenses.
We had good potential member interest – Honore and Missy know more about that.
See Driving with Friends in next POST for more thanks.
VA hired some folks to program activities!
How about Oct 18, 25, Nov 1 – what does Board think of those dates?
Through your ideas and action, our public service is up this year.
I would like to prepare a nomination for PCA Public Service Award for Loma for 2025.
Based on info at Parade, LPR is doing good. This would be our 2nd attempt, I hope they give feedback.
Let me know what you think.
2027 Parade is in Boise, July 11 – 17. We could drive that.
Big John Reed spun many tales of epic drives to Parades.
One thing I learned at Parade this year is that there are many ways to do Parade.
There are other hotels, many interests, and different prices.
OKC tours were amazing, from very technical (Goodyear and slakker) to nice drives.
2026 Parade is Lake Placid June 14 – 20. Pretty, far.
CCCR and Porsche SLO have a driving event Paso Robles to Carpinteria and back Sept 18 – 20.
Would like to tell members about it, what does Board think?
Poster attached.

I am requesting Board approval to pay our Inland Marine Insurance Policy (State Farm), in the amount of $370. The payment is due August 14.
Also, one item on this month’s expense report merits highlighting. On June 30, the last day of the reporting period, I attempted to forward the amount due, $3500, to the company that provided the catering services to the Porsche Heritage Day event. Unfortunately, I sent the Zelle payment to the wrong phone number but was able to pull the payment back. As a result, our report for this month shows GTG income of $3500 as the funds were returned to our account, as well as the initial $3500 expense. The net payment was $0, but technically a payment was made and then rescinded so our reports reflect that. The payment was made to the vendor on July 1 and will be covered on next month’s report.
There has been no income or expenses posted to our Zone 7 Concours account, so I have not attached a separate Excel report for that account.

Our region gained seven new members (five primary members and two co-members) during
June. New members are:
Thomas Petersen 2010 Cayman S Los Gatos
Neil Rooutley 2012 Carrera 4S Santa Cruz

We lost seven members because their memberships expired (five primary and two associates).
Not sure why and wonder if we should attempt to contact them?
Discussion: Don will send emails to the expired members.
Seven new members and seven membership expirations equals net change of zero.
We received five new requests for badges. They have been ordered but unfortunately, they will
not be delivered until after the picnic.
Total Primary Members 380
Affiliate Members 227
Total Region Membership 607
Don proposes we accept the new members. Second: Andy Ayes: 6 Noes: None Motion passes

Hi all nothing to report for activities except made several updates to calendar and submitted insurance for cars and coffee event. I am traveling in Sweden so will miss meeting tomorrow.
New bylaws: No new update from PCA National, recommend to move ahead with BOD and membership approval of new bylaws. Homer will update and send to Board for approval.
Nominations committee: Have confirmed candidates for President, Treasurer, membership and AX director. Still need candidates for VP, Activities, and Secretary. Pursuing additional potential candidates and hope to have more information at the next meeting.
AX #4 and our Zone 7 dinner was well attended with about 40 drivers at Mountain Mike’s in Salinas. Drew Powers won the trivia contest for a free AX-day with LPR.
AX #5 went well with nice weather and 63 drivers. We have one more event at Salinas in August, then the last 3 events will be at Crows Landing.
AX #6 will be on August 9th.
Both charities, Morgan Autism and Jacob’s Heart participated in the recent Porsche Heritage Day at Porsche of Stevens Creek new service facility. Charities had tabletop displays and representatives from both were on hand to answer questions. As of this writing, Morgan Autism indicated they had fun and would probably do it again. If we receive feedback from Jacob’s Heart, we will update.
Discussion: Honore will follow-up with Mariah from Stevens Creek Porsche regarding the charity donation for Morgan Autism and Jacob’s Heart from the drawing split.
Club member, Bonnie Lund is recovering from a fall. A card will be sent.

The POST for July Aug is still in the works… hopefully we will publish at the end of this week.
I think everyone will enjoy the issue — Porsche Heritage Day, Forest Bathing, and two stories about 912s.
Again, thanks to Doris for her critical work in proof reading my work — I promise you it isn’t an easy job!
I’m getting ready for WERKS and have made contact with nationally known and often Panorama contributor, Photographer Michael Allen Ross. MAR, as he likes to sign off messages with, agreed to sit down with me at WERKS for an interview about his work with PCA and automotive photography.
I am stoked as he is a favorite photographer of mine.
Speaking of being stoked, Dana was able to receive the Region Class III First Place award for PCA newsletters for LPR at Parade. Obviously, this is a wonderful recognition of the work that all of us put into the publication, and none less than Doris and Kris before her. Now to look at the judges’ comments and plan for improvements for 2025-26!!
Dana will submit a photo from the Porsche Heritage Day event to Panaroma.
Ed Tefrankjian submitted the safety report for the June AX#4, and Dave Dunwoodie submitted the safety report for the July AX#5.
The Forest Bathing Tour was conducted in June a writeup was sent to Don Chaisson.
The flyer for Overnight Tour to Lake Tahoe will be sent to Dana Ambrisko & Jim Turk in time for inclusion in the mid-month Blast!
We developed a “Call for Tours” note for the upcoming Mid-Month Blast that might move some of our members who may be interested in hosting a tour into action.
Remaining Tours on the Calendar for 2025: MBR Oktoberfest Tour (13-Sep), Jacob’s Heart Tour (20-Sep), Overnight Lake Tahoe Tour (27-28-Sep), Toys 4 Tots (23-Nov), Ole Amigos Tour (TBD).
Here is the Social Media Chair report for the July 2025 Board Meeting:
Peter is working on a Tech Session with the Wheel Guys. He deposited the sponsor check in LPR bank account from Beeline in the amount of $677.00.
During the month of June and the first two weeks of July the webmaster did the following:
As an aside, I will not be able to host the August 10 Cars and Coffee at Carpo’s. Peter Ridgway has graciously offered to undertake this task. We will be communicating over the next month to get our ducks in a row so that the event will carry on as usual.
Ed Tefrankjian volunteered to provide tips to the person(s) that may be interested in planning a road trip to the Boise, Idaho Parade in 2027.
Kris Vanacore and Emilie Highley suggested that LPR send a donation to support the community in Kerr County that have suffered extreme loss during the recent floods. The Hill County Rallye is a great event that LPR members have enjoyed through the years. We currently have a “Charity – Restricted Funds” on our books in the amount of $1,390.69. These funds were excess from a Charity budget from about 18 years ago.
Payment to be made to: Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country
Dana Drysdale made a motion to send a donation of $1,390.69 to support this cause. Dana will verify who it should be sent to and advise Andy. Second: Honore Ayes: 6 Noes: None Motion passes
Meeting adjourned by President Dana at 8:08 PM
